EVANS

Originally from North Bay Ontario, I had the opportunity to relocate to Newfoundland in 1996. Knowing that I wanted to become a firefighter, I joined the local volunteer firehall in Marystown, NL where I soon became enrolled the pre-service Firefighting program at the Marine Institute's Offshore Safety and Survival Centre in Foxtrap, Newfoundland.

In September of 1997, my firefighting career began. I quickly found out that a number of emergency calls were related to medical conditions and immediately understood that it was very critical to be proficient in this area. Shortly after, I was asked to join the First Aid committee at the fire hall where I became a Red Cross instructor. Due to the exposure received from the high medical calls and departmental in-house training, this enabled me not only to become a better firefighter but also to provide engaging First Aid courses. This is when I had the idea of creating my own company to teach First Aid to the general public.

In 2000, Diamond Medical Services was created. I started my humble beginnings with one dental office; they are still a client of mine today! The company rapidly expanded to include large corporate firms. Our teaching methods are fun, progressive and informative. I am very proud that my company is still providing high quality training to many customers and I would like to personally thank each of my clients for their ongoing support along the years. While my team has grown, we will continue to strive to offer the best training possible to our participants and guarantee that you will be satisfied with our services.
